LAGUNA VERDE (Green Lagoon)

Located (1722 m.o.s.l) and it is located in the crater of Ahuachapan´s volcano. The lake displays approximately 0.12 square kilometers in diameter and 11 m in depth in its centre. The flora that surrounds the area creates a beautiful landscape. Its sorrounding forest reflects beautifully on its waters giving the small lagoon its reknown name. Various coffee plantations sorround it and the local fauna that dwell or visit it during the year all help to create a picturesque natural environment and peaceful scenery.
